i think one of the saddest things about being human is having so much love for people and still struggling to show it. you assume there’s time, that they already know, that you’ll find the right words someday. then you realize some things need to be said while you still can.
day after day, i see more kids openly admitting that they hate reading or doing research and it genuinely makes me wonder if the next generation keeps losing its curiosity and desire to learn, what will our society look like in the future?
Seeing people my age buy houses makes me happy for them, but it also breaks my heart a little. Not because I resent their success, but because it makes me wonder what I’m doing wrong and why I feel so far behind in life.
There’s something very annoying about people acting like getting a remote job is easy. As if thousands of qualified people aren’t applying for the same positions and getting rejected every day.
I’m currently at that point where I barely have the energy to socialize, reply to messages or show up for people the way I used to. It’s not that I care any less. I’m just trying to keep my head above water, and it’s taking everything out of me.
explaining executive dysfunction to people is exhausting. my brain can literally refuse to let me start a simple chore when i’m overwhelmed, and people suggest going for a walk. brother, if i could just make myself move on command, we wouldn’t be having this conversation.
what kind of future are we building when experienced professionals can’t find jobs that need their skills, and young people can’t even get entry-level opportunities to gain the experience employers demand? how is anyone supposed to build a career in an economy that gives nobody a chance?
some people make their jobs their entire personality and expect everyone else to live the same miserable way. i could never surround myself with people who think life is just working, sleeping, and repeating the cycle. there’s so much more to being alive.
never postpone calling someone you love. i still think about how i planned to call my dad the next day, only for him to pass away that morning before i got the chance. living with the thought that i never made that call breaks my heart. don’t wait. call them today.
One thing that has never made sense to me is apps recommending I share my live location on social media apps, why should anybody in their right sense be doing that ???
sometimes i just pause and wonder how we all agreed to live like this. who decided what’s normal, why are we here, and why is everyone acting like they’ve figured it all out? the deeper you think about existence, the more absurd this whole thing starts to feel.
one of the most infuriating things about corporate life is working your ass off, taking on more responsibilities, and giving your job everything you have, only to watch someone who barely does anything get promoted while you’re stuck in the same position.
