🚨 Today, PSD voted alongside AUR, SOS and PACE in favour of a bill that would repeal Romania’s anti-fascist legislation.
‼️ This includes laws banning fascist, Legionary, racist and xenophobic organisations and symbols, Holocaust denial, antisemitism and the glorification of war criminals.
✊ USR calls on PSD to reverse this vote before the plenary vote. No democratic party in post-war Europe should support dismantling anti-fascist protections.
✊ We also firmly ask AUR to withdraw the letter they sent to ask for the of one of its leaders to shut-down the Elie Wiesel Institute and the Holocaust Museum.
#neveragain
Today is the Day of Remembrance and Victory over Nazism. The day when all of Europe marks the end of the most terrible war of the 20th century. A war after which there should have been only genuine peace. That was the dream back then, when the guns of World War II began to fall silent.
That war turned our land into a battlefield of brutal fighting, abuse in occupied territory, and the mass destruction of people and life. The losses of the Ukrainian people were among the greatest in World War II. And the contribution of Ukrainians to the defeat of the Nazis was also among the greatest. Millions of Ukrainians, serving in various armies of the Anti-Hitler Coalition states, fought against Nazism. Millions of Ukrainians were among the victors, having done everything in their power to ensure that absolute evil was defeated.
Unfortunately, 81 years later, we are once again forced to stop evil – evil that is just as absolute. Evil that brings nothing but ruins and abuse. And evil based on a similar ideology of enmity. An updated version of Nazism, marked: made in Russia.
Today, such Russian aggression can and must be defeated by the united free world. And I am grateful to everyone who helps us defend life. I am grateful to everyone who is not allowing this Russian regime to dictate to the world what comes next. Defending people’s lives and the freedom of nations from Putin is an absolutely dignified way to honor the memory of those who did not allow Hitler to subjugate Europe and the world.
Eternal gratitude to all who fought against Nazism and liberated people! Blessed memory to all innocent victims of World War II! Glory to every defender of life! Glory to Ukraine!

BREAKING: Barack Obama DEMOLISHES Trump for using the presidency to enrich his family and for turning the Attorney General into his mafia-stye "consigliere."
He really took the gloves off this time...
"The White House Shouldn't be able to direct the Attorney General to go around prosecuting whoever the President wants to prosecute," the former commander-in-chief said during an interview with Stephen Colbert at his new Presidential Center.
"Right, because technically it's under the executive branch, but the norm is that it's independent," said Colbert.
"The norm, the idea is that the Attorney General is the people's lawyer," said Obama. "It's not the President's consigliere."
While Obama didn't mention Trump specifically, denying that egomaniac the satisfaction of hearing his name on his lips, it was crystal clear who he was referring to.
Under Trump, the Justice Department has been fully weaponized into an apparatus for pursuing partisan grievances. In addition to the numerous political indictments — ranging from New York Attorney General Letitia James to former FBI Director James Comey — Trump's Attorneys General have enthusiastically helped cover up his role in Jeffrey Epstein's pedophiliac predations. The DOJ has lost all semblance of credibility.
"Two of the core principles of a democracy... We can survive a lot. Bad policy. Funky elections. There's a bunch of stuff that you know we can overcome," Obama continued. "We can't overcome the politicization of the criminal justice system, the awesome power of the estate."
"You can't have a situation in which whoever's in charge of the government starts using that to go after their political enemies or reward their friends," he added.
The former president then turned his attention to Trump's family and the nakedly corrupt ways in which they've been using the Oval Office to line their pockets with crypto scams and sweetheart contractor deals.
"A good policy that I'd like to see followed is that the President of the United States shouldn't have a bunch of side hustles that those companies and foreign entities can invest in," said Obama.
"How much of that is just jealous that you didn't think of selling a sneaker?" joked Colbert. "Because your sneakers would have flown. You know that, right?"
At one point, Colbert humorously asked for Obama's thoughts on him running for president.
"How dumb do you think it is for people to say that I should run for president?" the comedian asked.
"Well, you know, the bar has changed," Obama said with a laugh.
"That is true. At times subterranean," said Colbert. "I don't have to limbo so low."
"Put it this way, I think that you could perform significantly better than some folks that we've seen," said Obama, cracking up. "I have great confidence in that."
"Thank you very much," said Colbert. "Is that an endorsement?"
"It was not," said Obama.
How do you think history will remember Donald Trump compared to President Obama?
Please ❤️ and share if you miss Obama.
It was great talking to Stephen and the inspiring young people we’ve worked with at the @ObamaFoundation on the @ColbertLateShow.
When the Obama Presidential Center opens this June 19, my hope is that this will be a place where people can come together to meet, learn, and work with each other to create change in their communities. Learn more at https://t.co/ahkDMKalIn.
