My homeschooled son just finished "9th grade", whatever that is.
He recently took a standardized test and scored in the 96th percentile, or a grade equivalent of 13+ across the board.
He has spent less than 2 hrs / day learning for the last 10 years.
Public school is a scam.
Pastor-friends, this is not hard and we have to stop pretending it is:
There is one political party that will platform, elect, and cheer for this. And there is one political party that will oppose it and vilify it with everything they have.
And our people need to know that.
Pastors, this Sunday is one of those Sundays where you break away from whatever you’re teaching and speak to recent events.
Preaching one topic while the whole congregation is preoccupied with another, is bad shepherding.
Meet your people where they need it.
And don’t be soft.
Fact: 70-88% of youth born in evangelical homes leave the faith after one year in a secular college.
Maybe. Just maybe. We start to focus on more doctrine, more ability to explain what and why they believe, and less performance, less trend, less show, less entertainment.
Trump approval rating by age:

40-64 - 46%
18-39 - 60%
The next generation wants a country and a future; their parents don’t seem as concerned.
The kids are alright!
The 3 stages of maturity.
Stage 1: Thinking Jesus is the answer to everything.
Stage 2: Thinking it's more complex than that.
Stage 3: Thinking Jesus is the answer to everything.
Unpopular but true:
- The Bible is historically accurate
- The Christian God is the only God
- Being a “good person” won’t get you to Heaven
- Jesus is the only way
@ScottPresler Thanks for purchasing the PA voter roles. I’m somehow on the voter rolls in Chester County, PA despite voting in Ohio since 2020. Pennsylvania makes it hard to take your name off. Thank you in advance.
After viewing this, though saddened, I take solace in two things:
1) No one who’s a faithful follower of Christ actually considers this a church. This is a perverted imitation.
2) The youngest generations don’t attend these “churches”.
Prioritize reading the book of Revelation. We serve a God who has granted us a vision of the future and it’s a mistake to neglect reading it over and over again.
