@CoFOIC Such expansive application raises substantial concerns regarding procedural abuse and the potential distortion of the statute’s underlying intent. /2
@CoFOIC The issue with the statute, in my view, is illustrated by the conduct of Steve Zansberg, who invoked an anti-SLAPP motion in response to a consumer protection complaint. This use suggests that the anti-SLAPP framework can be extended to virtually any form of defense. 1/
@charlesornstein@chrisosher@EvanWyloge@DenverGazette@propublica But ProPublica can’t be blamed for selecting dismal talent, it’s the lack of journalistic standards and care that doesn’t align with ProPublica that raises the question about how this partnership really happened and what else might also be going on behind the scenes
@charlesornstein@chrisosher@EvanWyloge@DenverGazette@propublica What’s crazy is that the Gazette, which is ProPublica’s partner, is filled with some of the very worst talent in the state. Each night I lay awake wondering how Vince Bzdek got a job there. There is a goldmine to unpack on how bad the talent is. That’s where Osher is now.
