@FortPointer The last part is definitely the most salient. Sports are going to drive sales more than morbid news. And it's fair to say that shouldn't be the motivation.. But you could say, you can go anywhere to get national news. But people still want to look to local sources for their teams
@FortPointer We may have to agree to disagree here! I think my point was that major sports news impacts more people that read the Globe than many other current events, for better or worse
@BasedJace__@StoolGreenie Playing with pace is something I'm shocked they didn't go to more this year. Granted, results speak for themselves overall. But I'm with you
@StoolGreenie Lots of people still think the aprons are just lux tax problems (I.e. Will the owners pay or not), like Felger has been pedeling. I don't expect someone in the weeds to know how penal the second apron is but I think even the most casual of casuals will learn soon
@ryunyusef@StoolGreenie I can't see any rational observer putting him lower than 25 but my broader point still remains. I'd rather have him, contract and all, compared to a lottery pick that might be great or might not.
@BosSportsBros@OnlyInBOS I didn't defend anything with political rhetoric. The north end is different due to sidewalk size, which is logical to me. If you are in favor of shutting down streets to automobile traffic (I am), then your issue is with residents who don't want that.
@BosSportsBros@OnlyInBOS I don't think that we are. The restaurants I assume you're referencing don't fit the guidelines of acceptability. It has nothing specific to do with the North End, other than it's unique geography and layout compared to the rest of the city.
@BosSportsBros@OnlyInBOS Dogs on patio are allowed so long as their application is approved, which is the same for patios in general. That certain restaurants don't fulfill the obligations is not a fault of anyone but the restaurant.
