According to Statistics Canada, the amount of Indigenous people who hold a PhD or doctorate in North America is only 0.2 per cent.

Wearing orange to acknowledge Orange Shirt Day. I’ve been impacted by the residential school system as my Algonquin grandmother (Kokomis) attended. This is a day to recognize survivors and their families along with their resiliency and healing.
