I've got a "7th Grade Boys" rule for church announcements.

If it is appropriate for me to bring 20 7th-grade boys to the event, it gets pulpit and social announcements. If it isn't, there needs to be communication systems to directly point specific people to the event.

A pastor is to be able to teach. A pastor is to equip the saints to do the work of the ministry. A pastor is to do the work of an evangelist. A pastor is to shepherd. 1/

Every church should take responsibility to clearly define who is/are their pastor(s) and should avoid misusing terms, especially biblical ones, that cause confusion.
