It’s super blackpilling how inept most businesses are. For example, I was personally referred to a law firm, supposedly one of the most competent for my needs. I emailed with no response, then called four times over the next three days. Two of the phone numbers on their website are broken. When the third number is dialed, I get routed to an incredibly robotic intake specialist who repeatedly informs me that my name and contact attempts have been recorded but that the team I am trying to reach is “unavailable.” They are incapable of elaborating on what this means or supplying any concrete timeline for a call back. They cannot even describe what the correct team is or how it is distinguished from the number I am calling, or supply more direct contact information, or give any explanation whatsoever about what it means for them to be “unavailable.” Recall that I am literally a potential customer trying to give this business money in return for a service, and I can’t even figure out if they are still operational in the area that I need, and despite speaking to what is presumably a living human being, I still cannot figure out whether this business wants to engage in a transaction with me or not. It would be like going to the grocery store and the clerk simply can’t decide whether or not they want to check out your apple, and stands there for an hour in total indecision.

Curiously, I’ve only ever had this experience in America, and never in any East Asian country I’ve ever visited. Wonder why that could be.

I would voluntarily pay more money to make my tax money disappear rather than go to the government. For example, at a tax burden of $100k, I think I would pay an extra $1k (if I could) to actively deprive the government of that money.
