He was the 10th pick and not even the first QB off the board. There have been multiple first overall QBs since that get higher praise coming into the draft than he did.

@ToolmanTA @yugiboiii239 @grantcohn Bethard was drafted before Mahomes? Wow I didn't know that 😂. The draft is a crapshoot. Nobody really knows who's going to make it and who isn't. If everyone knew what Mahomes would have become he would have gone first off the board.

Herbert while I agree has the talent it hasn't translated to him being a top guy minus his rookie year before he got hurt. I would argue Purdy is better than Dak and Hurts. Just the price of the QBs.
