So folks at @espn are upset ND isn’t playing in a bowl game after weeks of folks politicking against the lack of conference affiliation, using them as a pawn for their CFB playoff selection show, having the ACC network play the UM/ND game on repeat for 48 hours during Conf Champ week BUT now it’s a bad look they don’t want to serve ESPN’s best interest by playing in an exhibition bowl game? Got it.
@WeAreNDFans Sorry I would have no interest. Star players would sit out. They would probably lose. How would you get your team motivated for a game like that? And why would you want to give anything to ESPN. They aggressively lobbied against ND for weeks.
@ESPN_BillC In addition to eye test ND has 10 FBS wins and Miami has 9. So they do not have same record. That is fact and committee knows it better that anyone - just not cited it yet - maybe to keep tv ratings 😀. Also - No team has made CFP w less than 10 FBS wins in history.
@GIrish_Talk Is it though? Look how easily they flipped Alabama and ND.. Basically for no reason at all. I would not be surprised at all if they put Miami ahead. This committee has proven they are capable of anything. I hope it doesn’t turn out that way but I’m not holding my breath..
@ABLichtenstein If I remember right FSU is also capable of beating a top ten team when they are at their best.. In all fairness though ND will not have much of an argument when Miami gets picked. If they had played better in that game we would not be having this discussion.
I don't know who needs to hear this, but Notre Dame is better than Miami. ND improved throughout the season. Miami leveled off. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
