This woman is right there is growing black fatigue online and there is a real difference in crime rates in black majority neighborhoods vs white majority neighborhoods

In 2000 the average violent crime rates were 5 times higher in predominantly African American neighborhoods than in White neighborhoods

From 2010–2013, African American neighborhoods averaged 8.5 violent crimes per 1,000 residents versus 1.4 in White neighborhoods, about 6 times higher (600% higher)

What’s even crazier, 90% of African American neighborhoods had higher violent crime than nearly all White neighborhoods

Even among middle class neighborhoods of similar socioeconomic status, majority Black areas had more than 4x the gun homicide rate of majority White areas

This shows its not an income issue, even with similar incomes and status black neighborhoods are still 400% more violent

Those were the words Mohamed Atta broadcast from the cockpit of American Airlines Flight 11 on September 11, 2001 as he and the other Islamic hijackers steered the plane toward the North Tower.

“Nobody move. Everything will be okay. If you try to make any moves, you’ll endanger yourself and the airplane. Just stay quiet.”

They counted on silence. They got it. Minutes later that plane slammed into the World Trade Center.

Then came Flight 93. Passengers learned what was happening. They did not stay quiet. They said “Let’s roll.” They fought. The plane went down in a Pennsylvania field instead of the Capitol or the White House. Those passengers saved lives because they refused the terrorists’ instruction.

That is the lesson. The only hijacked plane that missed its target was the one where Americans did not stay silent.

The same tactic is used today. Do not name the ideology. Do not speak. Do not resist. Stay quiet while the civilizational threat continues.

If we want to honor the 2,977 murdered and the thousands injured, we do not obey the hijacker. We name what drove them: Islam. An ideology that still seeks to impose itself on free people.

$OPEN Today’s update from @nejatian clearly shook even some of the most committed shareholders. I understand why. Q3 contribution margin in the 3% range and another 6–8 week delay are painful to hear.

But I keep coming back to one thing.

It’s been roughly a year since this rebuild began, and look at the environment they’ve had to rebuild in.

Housing remains brutally difficult. Mortgage rates are high. Inflation and long-term yields are working against the entire sector.

None of that is Opendoor’s fault.

That doesn’t give management a free pass. Execution still has to show up in the numbers. But there’s a difference between a broken company and a company rebuilding into a brutal macro headwind.

For me, the next real checkpoint is the Q4 earnings report in February.

Until then, I’m staying with it.

She just received the bill, it’s $34,000…. For one MRI…

The imagining center bills as if it’s a hospital, even though it doesn’t say hospital on the sign. Just getting an MRI here you are also billed for “hospital fees”

I looked into this and it’s definitely separate from the hospital

- Stanford Medicine Imaging Center at 451 Sherman Ave, Palo Alto is a Stanford Health Care site
- Stanford’s own pages brand it as an “imaging center” offering MRI and CT
- The main hospital at 300 Pasteur Drive

But because it’s part of the “hospital system” they are billing as if they’re a hospital and adding on all these fees

Oh look, another broken wind turbine, this time sending one of the turbine blades onto a dirt road below.

Luckily no one was injured.

Several trees were uprooted by the blade. This occurred in the Town of Arkwright in Chautauqua County, New York.

With a catastrophic break like this, the falling debris contain fiberglass, hardened polymer/resin, potentially carbon fiber, plastic foam, coatings/paint, adhesives, wood core material, and smaller quantities of metal.
