Finally after nearly 4 years.. The case has been quashed legally without any political support. As expected, all the accusations of false news etc have been rubbished. Also, importantly, this is the 1st judgment that marks out that "Press and Registration Act" will not be applicable to digital media.

Police have identified this man as Dharmaraj, who allegedly attacked his wife Akshaya with sickle following a family dispute near Pattukkottai in Thanjavur district. Akshaya with severe injuries in her face undergoing treatment at Thanjavur Medical College Hospital. Police are searching for Dharmaraj, who is believed to have fled with their five-year-old son.

Finally.
It is ridiculous that the Supreme Court granted a stay to the re-counting that the Madras High Court had ordered - after the recount was completed and after we all knew that Appavu had won and Inbadurai had lost.
I have spoken about this several times in the past. At the risk of being held in contempt I had told the world that Appavu had won.
This is the biggest indictment of the judiciary in India - an election was snatched away from the rightful winner and the courts sat on it for a decade!

Why is there no woman spokesperson in the CJP?

We did offered the role to our female team members, but many told us they would prefer to be actively involved without being at the forefront due to the constant online attacks and threats we are receiving. We respect their decision.

That said, we would like to invite young women who want to be part of this movement and are willing to step forward as spokespersons to join us.
