I was so there... for the rise of this song... and I was also very there for the lead singer's slow shift from making music to constant Leftist online activism from his IG account for the past 10 years.... If a song from 15 years ago that rose to popularity in the most pure and real way , an indie hit by a band who played free street festivals and was genuinely loved by their native Los Angeles, who were leaders of a subculture that at the time, was super cool, unique, noteworthy, regardless of how their influence morphed into mainstream memery beyond them,,, if that song and style and this tiny clip can convince thousands of new people that it was just some hippie bullshit write-off, some blip....
