Join the HFD Firefighters Association at the Match Eatery and Public House on November 5 from 4pm to 8pm. They will be serving guests, assisting with a silent auction, and talking about fire safety. Proceeds will be donated to the Oncology Unit of the Owen Sound Hospital.
HFD is pleased to host the Ontario Fire Marshall’s live fire training unit this coming week. It will provide firefighters with an opportunity to practice fire attack and search/rescue tactics, while remaining in their community to continue responding for emergencies.
Thank you to the Hanover Firefighters Association for their generous donation of an AquaEye to HFD. It is a sonar device that utilizes the latest technology to identify patients on top of or under water. It can scan 85,000 sq. feet of water in under 5 minutes.
Enbridge Gas is helping Hanover Fire Department purchase firefighting training materials, through Safe Community Project Assist–a program with the Fire Marshal’s Public Fire Safety Council in the communities where Enbridge operates.
Thank you Enbridge Gas!

HPS were called to a grocery store when a customer insisted police be summoned as they were upset staff members were enforcing limits on toilet paper. After making a few shitty comments for the store to hear, the customer left prior to police arrival. Customers: PLEASE BE NICE.
