@greateranglia To clarify, we came from Cambridge and every one on this train is now stuck at Elsenham and has been the case for now 45 mins or so. What alternative transport is there from Elsenham?

The disastrous NHS PA expansion implementation in the UK is not a SM bubble teacup storm as some senior clinical leaders think. At the heart of this when you strip away all the noise is equity/justice. A 🧵
1/ NEW & IMPORTANT: So we need to talk about NHS pay. NEW shocking [post DDRB] data just in 4/1/24 👇 (SPOILER: Not "fair & reasonable")
We need to fix pay/retention to fix waiting lists- increasingly clear next GE will won/lost on NHS
Please read whole 🧵 & share widely/RT
Wondering why the DHSC / Govt is pushing through regulation of MAPs via an SI, with no scrutiny, rather than through a Bill to be heard before Parliament?
It's because they're seeing the tide turn and know they have to act fast 👇
GMC Meeting - Council having questions put forward for creation of pathways for MAPs to "fast-track" into becoming medical practitioners. GMC need to "consider how to respond" to that.
Is it not the GMC's duty to protect the public?

This is not basic pay. It includes compulsory overtime pay - nights, weekends & bank holidays, not to mention a 48hr working week.
This, in other words, is an official civil service account - supposedly impartial & accurate - parroting blatantly misleading government spin.
Right: posters up this week at QEH warning patients of 12 hour waits to be seen, referencing junior doctor strikes. Left: a photo I took in the same A&E department in December with no strikes and normal staffing. The NHS is in crisis every day. We have to hold on to our doctors.
The Government has consistently refused offers to meet and put up further obstacles to prevent meaningful talks occurring.
We are now asking @DHSCgovuk to agree to the arbitration service, @acasorguk, facilitating talks so we can move towards a resolution.
