@SRAG015 @Rainmaker234d @Rememberfright @dctrinity90s Lanterns basically just combines both theme though that’s like one of the main points of his character journey in the show? He goes from a military Lapdog practically to finally Doing things for himself and finding himself outside of what he was raised to be with the help of Hal

[Justin @andrixonnn]

@GwenLovesMovies But even with Hal you can see this, it just isn’t as obvious as John’s Ig. Just felt like a love letter To Dc and its legacy characters in a way!? The show has its flaws though fs but I enjoyed the show a lot and is def on the higher end of Cbm.

[Justin @andrixonnn]

@GwenLovesMovies A lot of inspiration from the Denny o’ Neil era in terms of the foundation of the show and how it talks about real world issues, but it also pulls from so many different eras in general this is prevalent most with John’s character they combined basically all his origins

[Green Arrow @MASTER_1_CHIEF]

I'll die on the hill that lanterns is very evocative of Denny o'neil's green lantern run.

@GG1510990 @LambSauceWill @jammysuns @tytheanimator ….To risky that would turn off a lot of their fan base, especially with Scott Snyder at the helm but it’s still possible and I understand that concern I would not want that either, but I don’t think it would happen with GL.

[Justin @andrixonnn]

@GG1510990 @LambSauceWill @jammysuns @tytheanimator Forced to match the mcu at marvel. DC grants their writers way more freedom compared to marvel so I wouldn’t worry to much about that. Especially right now I feel like DC has been on top more compared to marvel when it comes to comic books so they wouldn’t do anything to risky

[Justin @andrixonnn]

@GG1510990 @LambSauceWill @jammysuns @tytheanimator But it just comes off disingenuous when I see similar takes like you said earlier, but to each their own at the end of the day. In my personal opinion I been enjoying their take and adaptation Of GL & “Passing the torch” (it’s not perfect but i still been enjoying it immensely)

[Justin @andrixonnn]

@GG1510990 @LambSauceWill @jammysuns @tytheanimator I promise you they will see the love and complaints and green light more seasons with bigger budget (more constructs and space sci fi stuff)/potentially even get a movie eventually, We can agree to disagree bro, we obv have different views and you don’t gotta love the show

[Justin @andrixonnn]

@GG1510990 @LambSauceWill @jammysuns @tytheanimator To the character then just space and things in that nature

[Justin @andrixonnn]

@GG1510990 @LambSauceWill @jammysuns @tytheanimator Pulling from many different eras of green lantern history Using this logic “Green lantern & Green arrow” is a horrible story completely ruins the point of green lantern since he isn’t in space and etc. yes space And other things in that vein are a appeal to GL, thereIsSoMuchMore

@GG1510990 @LambSauceWill @jammysuns @tytheanimator

[Justin @andrixonnn]

@fadedandballing Yeh one of my only complaints with the show but even with the Telling dialogue it goes over a lot of people’s heads unfortunately
