Notre Dame was robbed. I’m moving on. I have more important battles today and regular season doesn’t matter in college football anymore. Nobody will stand up for injustice against Notre Dame. They’re celebrating bad calls. It’s disgusting. Just like last year against A&M
I can't believe I have to defend Notre Dame, but this is a crock of shit. Last year Ole Miss played 2 good teams: OU and UGA, and split those games. They were clearly still a good team and playoff worthy, but no one said anything because the cupcakes they were blowing out had SEC logos on their jerseys. How is ND playing BYU and UM any different?
According to FPI, Notre Dame's current SOS ranks 60th. That's ahead of the following Power 4 programs:
Miami
SMU
Nebraska
Oklahoma St
Syracuse
Texas Tech
Boston College
Washington
Minnesota
Arizona
Georgia Tech
Cal
West Virginia
Cincinnati
BYU
Baylor
Pitt
Kansas State
Virginia
Virginia Tech
Utah
Duke
Their schedules aren't embarrassments, however.
Hardly, a Notre Dame defender, buuuuuuuut:
It's Week 7. Notre Dame has played six P4 teams, which is more than Georgia, Texas, Ohio State among others.
Is it the greatest schedule ever? No
Is it on par, to this point, with most of the rest of the best teams in CFB? Absolutely
Big game between Ohio State and Michigan! Who wins? Doesn’t matter! They both have 10 wins so they’re both in the playoff already! Who won the Iron Bowl? Doesn’t matter! Bama’s already got 9 wins so they’re in! Texas vs Notre Dame week 1? Who gives a shit! 24 team playoff!
With 24 team playoff (mostly because of the Big Ten and SEC want it) those two conferences should have mandated cross conference matchups in September. If 8-4 teams are making the playoff, playing hard out of conference games shouldn't be an issue anymore.
Not only bowl games but this takes a significant amount of meaning away from regular season games. We are coming dangerously close to the boring ass NFL where you can go slightly above .500 and make the playoffs.
@sergeantzyn@aktofl3690@MattHayesCFB I hope you know the reason that it isn’t like this and is not just the top 12 teams in the country as it logically should be is because of conferences and the biases towards them.
You know you have Notre Dame derangement syndrome when you’re making arguments against a team ranked in the top 12 teams in the country making the 12 team playoff. Like do y’all hear what you’re saying. All of the top 12 ranked teams should make up the 12 team playoff
I don’t even hate gambling but to act like it’s not objectively a bad thing for society to promote gambling as much as we have in the last few years is just plain old delusional. It’s no different than promoting drug use or any other vice.
"I got two kids and a family and you know what my f*cking job is, to make as much money as possible so they don't ever have worry about a god d*mn thing for the rest of their lives"
Nadeshot debates a viewer who calls him out for gambling streams
LSU ranked 11 for no reason to start the season.
Ole Miss beats LSU and climbs to 4.
Florida beats Ole Miss and climbs (13 spots!) to 8.
Florida gets boat raced by Mizzou and South Carolina.
Maybe we should stop assuming mid SEC teams are elite when they beat each other?
