@72_Jake Great, thanks Jake. There are a couple of bits I've not done on there, also I usually come down from Chatsworth to Monsal, so be a change going the other way. Will give it a go this weekend. Thanks!
Cheeky lunch ride over Houndkirk and Blacka, quite deep in the drifts, had to deflate my tyres quite a bit to find grip! Get out if you can before it melts! @KoftheP
@KoftheP Five dales loop this morning. Overall not running too bad as the mud was mainly frozen! Coming down the sheep field towards Tinkersley was very wet and boggy though. Back lane is still officially 'closed' but is rideable, just deeply rutted in places.
Trees still down on Coombs Dale, Rowland Descent and Jacobs into Stoney as of this afternoon. Overall drying out nicely, the top of Riley Tek is a bit muddy/slippy. Loving these psychedelic sheep coming down to Black Harry! @KoftheP
Night ride Calver, Eyam and Stoney @KoftheP Climb up Coombs Dale has some very deep holes and ruts, still lots of running water, path is very eroded and loose, take care if descending at speed! Rest of the loop ok, thanks @mozzasnaps for the warning re Black Harry quarry rut
@KoftheP Quick local one this morning. Small stream running down most of Clough Lane, a bit soggy on the climb through Cannings, the top part has eroded a bit. Houndkirk fine, some new ruts on Piper House, especially at the start, adds a bit more fun. Generally drying out nicely
@KoftheP Ladybower tonight, generally wet, lots of leaves and fallen branches. Bit of a stream running down from the cairn on Cutgate, Hagg berms slippy as, binned it on Elmin Pitts roots, Roman Rd mostly puddles. Small tree down blocking the path across the snake from the berms
@KoftheP Had a ride around Coombsdale, Longstone Edge, Eyam and Stoney this morning. Generally dry, bit muddy on the Riley DH, just ace to be out after many weeks of filling skips!
@akpthfc @MercedesNewsUK @Motorsport_IT To avoid breaking the budget cap, it's been mentioned by several team principles that the big teams are diverting resource to 'work' on other projects, but some of that feeds into F1
@KoftheP Quick local one early doors after a long gravel ride yesterday. Monster headwind on Houndkirk going out towards Fox House, suggest going the other direction! Piper House is running fast, PB by some margin.
@KoftheP Had a quick lunchtime ride up Porter Valley, Cannings, Jumble Road and a steady Devils descent after a warning that the roots were a bit sketchy from a fellow rider I met along the way, they were. Trails mostly seem to be drying out nicely now though.
@KoftheP Quick ride on Houndkirk and Eastern Moors. Bit of ice here and there, mostly avoidable except I returned to Blacka via Moss Rd and it's very dodgy, full width ice in places. I'd suggest the side routes instead for a day or two anyway.
@KoftheP Eastern Moors and Edges loop today, a nice dusting of snow. Plenty of grip, just be aware there are lots of ice pools underneath, Moss Road especially cracky under tyre!
@KoftheP A murky Eastern Moors loop this morning - it's a bit muddy from Bar Brook to Shilito, up to the top of Totley Moor is a muddy slog, plenty of grip on the edges though. Nice and quiet on the trails, more cows than people!
@KoftheP Macc Forest Classic from the @VertebratePub book this morning. Windy up top, generally dry and not too dusty apart from the field descent to the Three Shires Head which was very muddy. First time riding out that way, I enjoyed Cumberland Clough, less so the A54!
@KoftheP Five Dales loop this morning. Very muddy, lots of trail rivers and standing water. Tough going in places. A couple of trees down after the sheep field climb. Sad to see the tech climb out of Darley is now tarmac.
@KoftheP Did the @Bike_Garage Hope Valley and Hucklow loop today via Elmin Pits, which is very muddy in places. Limestone Way super slippy and the track from Shatton to Offerton is pretty muddy at the start but rideable. Everywhere else running good, bit chilly though!
