Australians have made it abundantly clear: we do not want former ISIS fighters or their 'brides" returning to our country.

When ISIS fighter Tareq Kamleh was reportedly discovered alive almost a decade after he was declared dead, Federal Environment Minister Murray Watt said:

"We won't be providing assistance, just as we haven't provided assistance to others to come back."  

And "we've made clear for some time now that we won't be providing any assistance as a government to anyone who's made the absolutely awful decision to join a foreign terrorist organisation."
