No. They were designed so we don’t have another Portsmouth, another Blackburn, another Leeds, another Bury etc which is why the PREMIER LEAGUE (as in the MAJORITY of clubs) voted it in
Football didn’t start in 2009. The “Red Cartel” had success long before that and it wasn’t based on hyperinflation
Besides since the rules came in, Liverpool, Arsenal and United combined have won a measly 5 PLs
Quit this farce
Man City fans now worried about Abu Dhabi walking away or being ordered to sell Man City because they might collapse. That’s what PSR was introduced for so clubs won’t collapse if the owners walk away. The irony
This nonsense that Man City tried to upset the cartel and be some sort of hero for other clubs needs to stop.
Man City voted no in 2012 to PSR rules, since then, they have inflated sponsorships and illegally funneled money into their club.
Since that vote, City has voted YES to the rules, every single time.
They weren't trying to fight for the little guys, they were trying to keep you down, more so than anyone else in the league.
They cheated their way to the top, then tried to block everyone else, because in their mind, they had already got away with the cheating.
They were one of the main forces behind the change from PSR to the new rules.
They were closing shop, on everyone, because they had already gained the biggest sporting advantage in history.
They are not the good guys, they are worse than anyone else in the league.
People are very very thick.
@FarmerG59620191@City_Chief Rubbish. They’d have called them up as part of their alleged irrefutable evidence and the IC would have found in their favour. It’s all threats and menaces in the hope the PL will panic and back down or more likely combined with the political pressure reach a weak penalty
@FarmerG59620191@City_Chief Not on the IC (not PL) to call them as a witness in the case. City could have called them as a defence witness but chose not to. Why wound T they do that if they helped their cause?
Hello @LucyMPowell
As MP for Mcr Central which includes Wastelands, is there anything you'd like to share about your little visit to Abu Dhabi & your role cheerleading for @ManCity's corrupt owners in the UAE APPG 👇
Or do we have to wait for it all to come out in the wash?
🤔
This is damning. An email CC’ing Ferran Soriano states that of £67.5m in Etihad sponsorship, just £8m was to come from Etihad and £59.5m from ADUG. Another says: “We mustn’t show the partner supplement if it is going outside the club.” Hard to explain that away.
Man of the people Andy Burnham suddenly siding with oil billionaires instead of regular folk that have had the sport the love brought into disrepute for the last 17 years. He knows where his bread is buttered.
They want us to believe that IRAN was behind a foiled terrorist plan at RAF Fairford AND now a Flydubai alleged hijacking incident?
This reeks of desperation.
Not buying it.
Sorry.
🚨 Breaking 🚨 Team Burnham are scrambling this evening following the Labour PM’s surprise defence of Manchester City & its owners. Serious questions are being asked about Burnham’s relationship to the City owners, how much he knew, why he’s intervening & any financial links.
> Netanyahu expected to lose election
> He’s still facing 7 criminal charges
> He takes a trip to the UAE this week
> He returns to Israel after 6 hour meeting
> He warns of terror plot before elections
> Iranians respond saying they are not planning attack & Netanyahu is just trying to cancel the elections
> 24 hours later flight FZ1073 takes off from UAE to Israel
> Attempted hijacking & 9/11-style terrorist attack on flight
> Israeli special ops on board thwart attack
> Netanyahu immediately convenes security cabinet meeting
All too predictable…
Andy Burnham has just dug himself a big hole and encouraged the media to delve deeper into what happened with Abu Dhabi, Manchester, and specifically Manchester’s leadership. Councils leaders before him both became honorary presidents of Manchester City.
