Loki the calico and Nero the smol panther enjoying videogames, books, baking, and kindness with their crazy (PhD student) cat lady in training, Andy. she/her
So what can you expect to see here if you stick around? I will do my best to post regular updates on the shenanigans of my two kitties Nero and Loki - although, honestly, it would be a 24/7 job to get all of them retold online. They are just full of nonsense and cuteness! [cont.]
@debs_with_cats @QuietQueer I think I'm over the worst of it. Test line is getting fainter by the day. Most annoying thing is keeping distance from husband. He's negative and feeling fine. Which is great. But I miss him.
@debs_with_cats Oh no, sorry if I accidentally implied that. Lasering was just really not painful (for me, in this specific case). My periods are tough, but not endo bad.
@debs_with_cats Thanks, I'm fine! It was just for removal of tissue that didn't belong where it was. All benign, mostly annoying more than dangerous.
One more reason why I didn't want the risk of a full anesthesia.
@debs_with_cats Thanks. Energy levels are still a bit low, any type of doing something makes the heart rate spike, and I'm still having coughing fits a few times a day, but I think we got away pretty well so far. Lucky.
@debs_with_cats We just went through our first bout of COVID (to our knowledge). No fun... really, rest up and don't feel bad about work. I felt a little bad about work when we had it, and then I was too busy just existing. Speedy recovery to you.
@LifeAfterMyPhD I hope I'll get to experience that. So many people are telling me that the real grind only starts as soon as you leave university, that I will never have it as good as I do now. That scares me silly. 😔 this PhD was NOT easy, nice, no responsibility, all the freedom in the world.
@Loobeeloo1980 keep the photo, mark the perimeter of the red area with a pen, and keep an eye on it. Get it checked by a Dr. if in doubt. I had something similar and it turned out to be Lyme disease from a tick I never noticed.
