Man City spent £450m in the summer, despite knowing they were guilty in July.
Good thing Aston Villa and Newcastle were forced to sell their best players to meet FFP rules…
I don't like the rules because they are anti competitive outside the traditional top 4. BUT! Over 900 million pounds in to a club is an INCREDIBLE piss take. Give that to Villa, Everton etc and they'd win titles too. Feel totally deflated about the last 15 years. Mockery
One of the guilty verdicts is fraudulently claiming sponsorship revenue which was really cash injection by the owner. Villa have every right to be furious. They had the cash to plug any deficit to stay within PSR, but abided by the rules and sold their best players!
@DazHaleWM
The likes of Villa and Newcastle had to sell youngsters to comply with Financial rules whilst City put 2 fingers up to the rules… Relegate the cheating bastards
This season might be the worst iteration of the PL I've ever seen, the supposed elite clubs are all dire, games are unwatchable bore fests, even the managers no longer have any charisma.
They say Match of the Day has had its day. I couldn’t disagree more.
What’s had its day is ‘live’ English Premiership football. Absolutely chronic to watch. Showing highlights makes the league barely palatable.
Journalists suddenly discovering how ‘good’ Ezri Konsa is should tell you everything you need to know about modern journalism. If you don’t play for a ‘Sky 6’ club you don’t exist.
Aston Villa are pleased with progress on the North Stand redevelopment, on track for completion before next season. New corner tunnel and home dressing room also being built. Trinity Road capacity has risen by 550, with almost every seat in VP replaced in last three years.

Whoever made this needs a medal
So utterly sad but true
Football fans across the country getting mugged of by the clubs
Not so much Arsenal as we are all happy but things havent been this glorious for 20+ years
We had a red card in the first game last season and didn’t score for four games. We got spanked away at St James’ 5-1 a couple of seasons ago. This feels really really bad but I’m going to choose to pretend the season starts again on 31 August…
Just saw my mate who's a Chelsea fan, he thinks we'll struggle this season. So rather than explain to him that the squad needed a freshen up, we've looked leggy for a while etc, and a trophy is the perfect way for them to say their goodbyes. I just called him a cunt.
Two lads, topless, drenched in beer... another lads first instinct to celebrate... get your arse out
English fans are unrivalled 😭🏴

aston villa have won the super cup before
but we don’t say we have won 3 european trophies
because the super cup is not a major trophy
it’s the european version of the community shield

Rarely in my life have I been so well received, thank you very much to everyone, especially to the players, it really made me feel part of the group from the first day here in the Villa. I hope I can continue to help you write this winning story here.
@astonvilla 💜🙏🏼
