Caleb Williams and Drake Maye have different personalities and different builds, but their playmaking chops make them kindred spirits on the football field.

"They're more similar than not," Bears backup QB Tyson Bagent told me.

The off-script playmaking of Caleb Williams & Drake Maye makes them two of the top creators in the sport. It was the premier attraction last night.

"They're young superstars," said center Garrett Bradbury, who's played with both QBs the past two seasons.

The Patriots tacked on a FG but couldn't recover the subsequent onside kick.

The Bears hold on for the 30-24 "TNF" win. Both Caleb Williams and Drake Maye threw for more than 300 yards.

Williams prevailed in that duel.

The Soldier Field crowd rejoices after Cairo Santos drills a redemptive 58-yard FG.

It's 30-21 Bears with 1:34 to go.

The big-time throws keep on coming for Caleb Williams. Heck of a grab by Rome Odunze to complete the critical hookup.

That was good for 21 yards on third-and-9 with less than 5 mins to go.

To go up two possessions... DOINK 😭

Caleb evades the free runner and launches another missile over the middle.

That could be a game-changer, was third-and-11.

Patriots have cleaned up their protections, accounting for these exotic Bears looks, and even when pressure has seeped through, Drake Maye has been exceptionally stoic of late.

He’s now 18 of 22 with 253 yards, 2 TDs and 1 INT.

The ball is jumping out of Caleb Williams' hand tonight. Doing a great job pulling the ripcord and attacking the middle of the field.

Also has picked up where he left off last week with TE Colston Loveland, who's got 5 grabs for 58 yards and 1 TD.

First looked like Cam Lewis would track Rhamondre Stevenson down. But then, man, Jaylon Johnson just has to make that tackle.

What a defensive collapse for the Bears just before halftime. Immediate hangover after that Luther Burden III touchdown. Chicago's two-score lead is suddenly gone.

Big stain on a first half Ben Johnson's crew had clearly controlled.

Ok just run out the clock JK TIME TO SCORE.

PATRIOTS GET A TD TO END THE HALF ‼️

Shoutout Bears RT Darnell Wright, who got out in space to help the blocking brigade downfield on this 24-yard catch-and-run TD that Luther Burden III scored.

After going 11 quarters without a pick, Drake Maye throws his 8th interception of the season.

He had done so much right that drive, but he's going to want this one back.

"Illegal forward handing" was the penalty description on that called back handoff to Bears LG Joe Thuney.

Some incredible sleight-of-hand there.

Drake Maye needed all of his 6-foot-4 frame to make this TD happen.
