There's one huge mistake people who are starting their fitness journey make:
They put themselves in a box.
They identify with only ONE style of training.
They only lift weights,
Only do calisthenics,
Only do cardio.
Unless you're an elite athlete, combining different training styles is most optimal for the average person.
Not only will you be a more capable human, your body will be more resilient and you will never get bored of your training.
Although my main focus is calisthenics, I also incorporate weights, running, and cycling into my routine.
It never helps you to be dogmatic about other styles of training.
So I challenge you,
If you're a gym junkie, take yourself outside for a jog.
Or if you're a cardio fanatic, consider hitting the weights a couple of times a week.
You won't regret becoming a more physically capable person.
Very happy tonight! I managed to PB on the Southport 10 mile TT. My goal for the season was a sub 25 minute 10. Tonight I got a 24:21! Thanks to @AndyBennett360 for the coaching!
@AndyGbootneck Just wondering if you found out there was widespread doping in football, would you lose interest in that too? Where there is money in sport there will be cheating.
Coaching is not only about prescription or being able to read & analyze data or doing a lot of courses, coaching is being able to listen to the athlete and understand.
There is no course for that, there is just experience, empathy & attention to detail
Well after a schoolboy error on trying to fit a new chain to my TT bike. Thankfully @PictonCycles were able to correct it! Now I have intervals to enjoy from @AndyBennett360 best bike shop in Liverpool & best cycling coach in the region!
