One in six private renters is now renting a former council home, often at extortionate rates โ and often partly paid for by the government in the form of housing benefit.
It's not just deeply unfair - it economically doesn't make any sense.

While Reform were throwing their glitzy event in the MECA yesterday we were out on the windy streets of Queen's Park talking to residents about their real concerns.
With hundreds of new members joining Swindon Greens over the last few months, we took a moment to ask a few of them what attracted them to hottest new political party in town. If you're excited about a green future for Swindon: https://t.co/h76vNgtZGY
#GreenSurge
In February we announced reaching a record 500 members. In just one month since then, more than 60 new people have joined us.
The more people that hear our positive message, the more that number will keep going up.

At Swindon Borough Council's budget meeting today, Swindon Green Party will propose to freeze councillors allowances this year. We propose to use the money this would save to fund more SEND transport.
We've heard so much from SEND families who are struggling.
โ ๏ธWarning: there is no tactical voting site called "Tactical Choice" โ ๏ธ
If you choose to vote tactically it's important to seek independent, impartial advice. And always check the source online, as printed leaflets could be out of date, or even intentionally misleading.
