@robynkanner Did that once for a 9AM Monday call, eventually realised it was Sunday. Had sent the organiser a reminder too which was amusingly embarrassing the next day. Not a morning person!

@bridgetkromhout Thank you! This adds something to my understanding: while I deliberately try not to use just/simply/etc, your phrase "I want to encourage you!" makes me realise why these terms slip in. I love simple easy clear things, but people may not see that language as enthusiasm.

@grumpygiant I guess it was intended to help people used to using a character mapped screen, like the zx81. It's not really OCR though, just searches the exact 8 bytes from the screen in the character data in rom.
