Mistake acknowledged. ProRef has made contact with Manchester United this evening "to acknowledge what we deem is an error of judgement" over Manchester City's controversial goal. "A review of the incident will take place,” a Pro Ref spokesperson says.
“The on-field decision was offside against Erling Haaland – that was checked by VAR and he was found to be in an onside position. In the same attack, it was established that Enzo Fernandez did not play the ball and therefore that makes any offside offence subjective, however, on this occasion, the VAR did not recognise the likely impact of his position and should have recommended an on-field review."
Some official accountability but little consolation to United or Michael Carrick. Huge mistake.
@ManCityHelp I’ve not received any email. Also, when I log in seat isn’t correct - it’s changed from my usual seat for some reason. Please can you let me know why this is? Thanks.
This is the scene outside Dukinfield Cemetery this morning, on Tower Street. Police have been in attendance throughout Saturday evening and this morning. The @MENnewsdesk understands residents have been told about the discovery of 'remains'.
@arghkid Can only think both went with on-field decision.
We either want VAR to be involved with every decision which takes time and we hate that or we want it to get involved on major mistakes and we all know the handball law is a mess so here we are 🤷♂️
@BikeDocMCR hi! Do you have any bromptons on site that i could try before deciding which one to go for? I’m unsure of the handlebar style and of all of the options! Thanks!
