@FootballCliches Can't be the only one shocked to hear Charlie describe Lineker's goal vs Argentina in '86 as a 'consolation goal' on the latest ep? Nearly equalised a few minutes later but for some miraculous defending! If its 2-0 surely a 'consolation' can only be scored in dying seconds?

@FootballCliches Had an u17s Sunday game where we only had 8 players. Went with 2-2-1 formation down the middle and, as the the manager declared, 2 'flexible wingbacks'. Still remember the bemused look on one of the 'FWBs' face as this was proposed. Drew 4-4 tho - they got a last min equaliser!
