@sisinerd Very cool! We get questions all the time about opportunities in Africa and Nigeria often comes up! If we can ever help out with this, would be great!

Problem: Stingray devices pretend to be real cell towers. When your phone connects to one, Stingray can spy on your location and sometimes your calls or texts.
Solution: Rayhunter helps spot when that’s happening.
How it does it:
https://t.co/IyFFDDQAPg run Rayhunter on a cheap little 4G hotspot (about $20).
2.The hotspot normally talks to real cell towers. Rayhunter watches the control signals in that traffic (not your browsing or personal data).
3.If the “cell tower” starts doing suspicious things — like forcing your connection down to insecure 2G, or asking for your IMSI (your SIM card’s unique ID) in odd ways — Rayhunter flags it.
4.When that happens, the hotspot screen turns red to warn you.
https://t.co/0yT6V9jusW can then save the logs, which show evidence that a Stingray might be nearby.

FYI: Icognito mode doesn’t make you invisible. What it really does is stop your browser from storing your history, cookies, and form data on your device once you close the window.
