Today we celebrate our risen Savior who willingly sacrificed himself to be killed naked and exposed in order to beat shame and guilt. So if you use guilt/shame to try and change people, stop it. You’re doing it wrong. Just love people instead. It’s how Jesus did it. He is risen.
Surround yourself with some people who think differently than you and learn from them. You can’t grow if you’re not challenged. If you surround yourself only with people you agree with your world only gets smaller. Be brave. Be challenged. Grow.
The people you encounter are experiencing their own stories. We can’t know the depth and breadth of those stories from one exchange. But that one exchange does impact their story. It adds to it. Be someone who adds something good to their story. It matters.
It’s a new day. Yesterday’s worries might still be lingering today, but you’re not the same person you were yesterday. You can do this. Take a deep breath. Don’t quit, don’t stop. We need you. You matter.
A joke from my son:
Ethan: Daddy, why did the superhero clean the toilet?
Me: I don’t know buddy, why did the superhero clean the toilet?
Ethan: BECAUSE IT WAS HIS DUTY!
When we were dating I told her that I had a lot of big dreams a vision for my life and that it could get crazy sometimes. She responded by saying, “If you’re going to do it, then I’m going with you.”
