Most devs don’t know these exist:
Outlier, Mercor, AfterQuery, Surge AI — platforms that pay you to train/evaluate AI models.
Not “click a button” work. They want people with real skills — coding, writing, domain expertise (security, math, law, etc.) to grade and improve AI outputs.
Pay: often $20-50+/hr depending on skill level and platform.
If you have a technical background, this is one of the more slept-on remote income streams right now.
The cost to run AI inference at equivalent quality has dropped roughly 10x every couple of years.
What cost $100 to run a few years ago costs a fraction of that now.
This is why AI automation is finally affordable for small teams/solo devs — not just big companies.
@dangbanamanager That’s why you aren’t a billionaire and it’s not your parents
Everyone always feel they would every situation better than the person actually in it
It’s laughable
So you think the billionaire hasn’t thought of this ?
