This was looked at years ago and the answer was no. Several other allied health professionals took that route. Most reported it increased the cost of education but did not increase salaries or reimbursement.
And that is why I left ACMG. I cannot support an organization that will not support my profession. With a shortage of genetics professionals, the guild mentality harms patients.!!!!!
