So, he lied to my face. Right after he was hired he did a meet and greet with season ticket holders. He told my wife, son, and myself he was here to win a championship and national title and said he felt USF had a real opportunity to do that. He said that to everyone.
The guy is a used car salesman and will say anything to anyone. Auburn will learn soon enough.
How long are people just going to say that every team USF beats just happens to be terrible all of the sudden?
Boise State was the most common pick among all the talking heads for the G5 CFP bid. USF crushes them. “Oh that’s because Boise State sucks.”
Florida has their best roster in 5+ years with a QB who many people said is one of the best in the country. USF beats in them in The Swamp. “Oh Florida’s actually just terrible now.”
If USF beats Miami, are the Canes (who have a Top 10 win) magically going to instantly suck too?
USF was dealt the most perfect hand of cards in 2007 and somehow squandered it horrendously. We went from a young top five program playing in front of 70k engaged fans to a perennial loser playing in front of 20k uninterested fans sitting down the entire game.
USF head coach Alex Golesh on playing Alabama and Miami this season:
“Bama and Miami have to play South Florida.”
