@DanCarterJourno A cracking player and real gent! My daughter’s favourite at Bristol City, she saved up to have his name on her shirt, ready for the new season. It was then announced he was leaving! Heartbroken. Contacted shop and they said he was personally paying for replacements!👏
@A1an_M I know, her house backs on to cutting lane as well! Usually just scroll past most threads, but was taken in by yours. Must be your story telling. Or are my devices really listening to conversations? 😳and putting forward threads…..
@A1an_M I do not know why I was drawn into this thread, or why it even appeared? But there are some rather strange coincidences! My sister now lives in South Luffenham, her date of birth 6/6/66, the day the line was closed by Beeching… how odd.
@PolicyExpert hi, been holding on the phone for an age, now realise it’s gone 7pm and your closed! Online chat bot not available either. Any chance I can speak to someone regarding home insurance renewal?
For every retweet of this post, I will donate £1 to the @VC_and_GC_Assoc up to £50,000.
Time is running out following @I_W_M’s decision to close the Lord Ashcroft Gallery.
Visit while you still can, to honour the bravery of those who risked so much to protect our great nation.
@OC_Burma_Coy In Kosovo found out daughter was being treated for meningitis, Fam. Offr. was too busy playing golf! At endex, bought a house for family to settle and be near relatives. Withdrew RCB application and decided to go after 24 years. Did a teaching degree and haven’t looked back.
@wizardofemerald@RDPHistory To add: I think the minefields have only recently been declared safe. There was a geologist or similar who came down and said it would take 40 years for the peat cycle to bury them enough.
@wizardofemerald@RDPHistory I have a vague memory of an incident around December 1982, where a couple of sailors, I believe came ashore looking for trophies. Ended up in a minefield and a couple of sappers were injured helping them? I was part of a team still fencing them off in 83.
@NigelHu72759555@RDPHistory We were lucky and had a squeeze cassette! Was on her for a while and then moved to the Sir Tristram on public jetty(?). The smell had gone but we often wondered what the fine particles we could see floating in the spring sunshine while having meals…….
