@claudeai Would it be possible to get the option to select extended thinking as the standard back? Or at least the ability to switch back to 4.6 with extended thinking? The adaptive thinking definitely does not produce as good as results for non-coding tasks.
@bcherny It sounds like a lot of non-coding 1st impressions are that adaptive thinking with 4.7 performs well below 4.6 with extended thinking. Hoping we can get an option to have extend extended thinking on or get 4.6 back.
@emollick This is what I’ve been trying to figure out. If I uncheck that does that mean I always get extended thinking or never? Imagine some clarity will come soon
@alt_w_v_g Humility. Focus on what you can learn and gain, not another’s perceived shortcomings. For an advisor, specifically, figure out what’s important to you all and find that.
