@VenetiaJane @groodendorst It's a contact insecticide made from natural fatty acids.Probably fairly indiscriminate as to what it kills but short lasting. Good for aphids on roses as they are vulnerable on the tips of shoots. We got it from https://t.co/0k7sesX2RN

@VenetiaJane @groodendorst I run a trial on neem oil. We compared neem oil, agrisoap and a systemic insecticide. The systemic did best but only just better than the agrisoap. Neem oil was a pain to put on and didn't do much better than the untreated roses.

@thriftygreen Gertrude jekyll vivid pink very scented and can be grown as a bush or a small climber. Or Sweet Juliet peachy powerful scent and sends up lots of stems. Both of these are very sturdy and don't need any support.
