@WildLakeland@joshual951 Certainly is, as you’ll find in your detailed assessment of the Environmental Statement that I’m sure you’ll be undertaking to ensure you’re fully informed of the facts.
@WildLakeland@joshual951 I’m delighted that you’ve acknowledged our success in such a short time of restoring the habitats from the degraded state they were in. The plan for delivering that was in the Environmental Statement I’m sure you’ve taken the time to digest.
@joshual951@lastronge @JoP24048538 I look forward to you actually having read the ecological data that was taken, including by Natural England, and seeing that no priority habitat at Doddington was destroyed by the project. In fact it’s been expanded.
@lastronge @JoP24048538 @joshual951 You’re confusing Berrier End, which was a disgrace and shame on those responsible, with Doddington, which completed extensive EIA process and scrutiny by Natural England.
@joshual951 We preferred to use expert independent ecologists including Natural England’s team than a “genius”. Look forward to you being informed of what the site actually was & how the diverse mosaic of habitats was decided upon & is now progressing. Feel free to actually visit in person.
@PaulBrannenNE@Elizabe08848147 @annietrev The fantastic range of tree establishment, habitat recovery, biodiversity improvements and expanded public use of the area to continue developing and transforming the property.

@benjaminjmiller You’re not kidding, Mike’s been on site two days and Ian’s already put engineering mods on two of his pieces of kit to improve productivity!!
Surprising: according to Friends of the Earth, some major national parks even have lower woodland cover than major cities, for example, woodland cover in the Yorkshire Dales is just 4.1% compared to London at 4.5%. https://t.co/mgxcxPI4vQ @NEE_CCo@NENaturePShip@IanDuncanHMG
@adamvaughan_uk Bigger concern is concept that a prescribed process is in some way ‘protecting’ it! We have an incredible opportunity to properly protect land by allowing land managers to act sustainably rather than to multi year subsidy prescriptions.
@MichaelRamage20@lwhemmings Concerns about potential winter weather also played a part. 3 years ago the site would’ve been inaccessible for 6 weeks in the beast from the east. Didn’t want to risk consequences of a repeat!
