@liverbirdjen I met him that same evening
I shook his hand and looked him in the eye, and told him he must not let the families and survivors down. I saw real sincerity. I’m not a labour supporter, but he delivered.
@BaykalSheikh@Irfanooq I worked as a dressing room attendant at Liverpool and Old Trafford during this period. Wasim was a brilliant guy. Always happy to spend time giving advice to a young bowler.
@CricketopiaCom ‘Patto’ bowled the fastest spell I ever saw live, at Liverpool for Lancs Circa 1986? I had the Privilage of meeting him, talking to him at length and sharing a bacon sandwich with him on one occasion Such a lovely guy who’s mental health issues have caused him such pain recently
@fredfertang@GeoffreyBoycott I met him in his last County Season in a game at Liverpool. I was the Dressing room attendant
I asked one of his Team mates just how good he was? This Batter (Test Opener) said if conditions were right he was still unplayable. “Not called ‘Deadly, for nothing pal” he replied
@GFoxyFowler Hi Foxy.
You and I first met at a NatWest Cup game in 1984/5
At Liverpool. Notts were the visitors.
Do you have anything from that era you wish to part with?
Andy
@LizKershawDJ Andy was simply part of my youth, my formative years. He helped so many young people without a direction or purpose, that life, poetry, music and just enjoyment of it was often more than enough. And he did it in such a Cool, Northern way.
RIP
In just over 12 months Liverpool have fallen from an entertaining attacking side that wins most games
To a team playing with a back 5, praying for the final whistle losing 2-0
Shocking
