๐จ๐ฃ๐ต Aston Villa make contact with Flamengo to bring Emerson Royal back to the Premier League.
Talks ongoing as @ESPNBrasil reported as Brazilian RB can be the backup for Matty Cash, identified by #AVFC.
The PSR cartel shouts are so misguided. We had to suffer decades of our club doing nonsense like selling Berbatov & replacing with Fraser Campbell. We sold Bale, Modric, Kane, Son & replaced them with fuck all. We are the only prem club in history to go through a summer transfer window with no signings. We earnt this
@SpursOfficial Give us an ownership that cares, give us people that put Totttenham Hotspur FOOTBALL CLUB as the priority, above anything else.
We should never, ever, ever be in this position.
Serious accountability is required for the mis-management which has taken place for many, many years.
So @allyrudd_times itโs a really interesting take to blame the fans of a ยฃ550m revenue business for years of underachievement, while ignoring the actual reasons clubs succeed or fail.
Successful clubs invest in elite players. They replace departing quality. They build football structures that support performance, from coaching to recruitment to sports science and medical. They hire top managers aligned to winning. They put football first.
Most importantly, they understand long-term financial growth comes FROM football success, not from endlessly sweating the asset while prioritising infrastructure projects and commercial growth over the quality on the pitch.
Thatโs the difference between Tottenham and clubs like Arsenal, Liverpool or Manchester City, who invested heavily and built winning cultures. Or even Brighton, Bournemouth and Aston Villa, who put football decisions first and massively outperformed their natural position.
Fans donโt control recruitment, squad planning, wage structure, medical departments, executive priorities or ownership ambition.
Blaming supporters while ignoring the institutional choices made over years is either unbelievably lazy journalism or a wilful misunderstanding of modern football, or you are simply on the take.
