Learning to listen, really listen, is one of the greatest disruptors to our polarized world:
● Sit still
● Make eye contact
● Turn off your phone
● Be curious
● Ask questions
● Don't interrupt
In the 1st Century, the meal table is where people separated into their political tribes.
Jesus disrupted all of this!
I sometimes dream of a cross country tour that facilitates shared tables between polarized groups for a night of feasting, listening, and disruption.
