Episode 1 of trying out random business ideas with “abit” of research and Demand.
Last year December, I had some extra cash and thought to myself, “What business can I do?” I went online on a Chinese shopping app and bought 15 power banks and they were going for a good price and I am still shocked.I ordered and sent them to my shipping company.
Note: I used a ship instead of air cargo or whatever movement they call it. Reason? It’s cheaper.
Fast forward to the first week of February, they came in. I only paid K640 for shipping.
Total investment Buying them, Shipping and Gas in my gas to go and pick them was still less than K5000!!
So I had 15 power banks with me. I looked at the market price. Most people were selling good power banks like mine at K750 - K1,000 because of load shedding and all. I went with the lowest figure to get fast sales. I also gave my clients a month warranty. Why? I trust the power banks I bought because I bought the same power bank a year ago and it’s still functional ! Also to gain people’s trust.
I made a post here and sold 7 .I recovered my investment same day.
The rest of the power banks have been selling (sometimes 2 a week), but that has become my passive income. Guess what? Only 2 power banks are left today. If all 15 are sold, that is K11,250 minus the investment…
Whatever you do with this information is up to you .
Onto the next small business next week !!!
