To make matters even more embarrassing, this is not even a new Labour policy. It is simply recycled legislation passed by the previous government that Labour delayed just to rebrand as their own PR stunt.

While Labour's 25 billion pound tax on jobs and Net Zero green levies drive energy bills through the roof, Burnham pretends he is saving the country by tweaking consumer trial periods.

They destroy your standard of living with record taxes, and then demand a pat on the back for handing you pennies.

I left school at 15yrs & went into full-time employment.

Married at 19yrs & went on & had 2 children.

We paid taxes all our working life

We eventually paid our mortgage off, helped our children get on the property ladder.

I certainly am not prepared to allow this government to take everything we have worked hard for in order to pay for others that just stroll into this country & are given everything for free.

There are a lot of others in the same situation who’ve always done right by this country.

We as a family have not taken a penny in benefits from this country.

This government needs to get their priorities right & start treating UK Citizens with the respect they deserve.
