Laura and Marcus Knight offered their two-bedroom flat in Tooting, South London, to Syrian refugees in 2017 through the UK government’s Syrian Vulnerable Persons Resettlement Scheme.

The couple received a £2,000 incentive payment and £1,310 a month in housing benefit for the property.

A first Syrian family stayed for a year before another family, a couple and their child, moved in in November 2018 and remained there for nearly eight years.

The Knights now want the flat back so their 19-year-old son Zach, a student at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, can live there.

They gave notice in April and expected the tenants to leave in August.

Five months later, they still haven't regained possession.

“We were always told by the council we could reclaim the flat whenever we wanted,” Laura Knight said.

This is 14-year-old Mylie, she is missing and we’re asking for your help to find her.

Mylie was last seen in Preston Town Centre near to the Arc cinema at around 10:45pm on 24th September. She was last seen wearing blue jeans, a burgundy top and sliders along with a black bubble jacket, thought to be the brand ‘Canada Goose’.

She is 5ft with long blonde hair and has links to Preston, Garstang, Blackpool, Bradford, Sunderland, Washington and Newcastle.

Since Mylie was reported missing enquiries offline have been ongoing to locate her, but we have now reached a point where we need to let you know she is missing and ask for your help.
