I’m on route to Texas & Oklahoma for a solid few days of meetings and conversations about @nationsoutreach — at the end of which I’m doing a 106 mile gravel-bike-race on Oklahoma farm roads with my brother-in-law.
I started riding bike just over two years ago.
It’s been one of the coolest new additions to my life. The people it’s put me around, the physical health it’s created, and the silent moments of prayer and thought it has curated. Combine all those things and riding a bike has brought enormous value to my life.
I took my mom to visit Mount Rushmore today.
50 years ago, she sang at the base of it in a choir. It was special to get to bring her back to reminisce and see it once again, but with my daughter. Special moments to share with Grandma.
My brothers and I took a semi-casual ride on John day Hwy this afternoon in Central Oregon.
It’s been so great to spend the weekend with my siblings and their families. What a special thing to have a large family that actually loves to hang out together.
That 12 hour Pakistan to Pacific Time Zone flip is ROUGH.
I have worship practice with @Journey_Camas at 7.15, and I’m wide awake and ready a whole 5 hours early! 😬
