@dijkshoorn Niet waar hij altijd stond op het podium, maar ook nog eens op de plaats van zijn weggevallen kompaan van het eerste uur. De meest veelzijdige Earring, wat mij betreft en nog altijd bezeten van muziek(maken).
@SVG__Collection The Rolling Stones I think and although I became more critical I can still relate to them the most. The first (rather a-typical) album I owned of them was Black and Blue in '76, but I already knew their earlier 70s and 60s music through older brothers, incl. singles and bootlegs.
@rocknrollofall I feel that at least Louis Jordan, who directly influenced like artists Chuck Berry and Little Richard, shouldn't be left out. But neither of them really got the recognition they deserved, at the time.
@mmeeuw Zo zullen de Martin Bosmas van weleer vrouwenkiesrecht, afschaffing van de slavernij, het niet meer strafbaar stellen van homoseksualiteit, enz. als linkse modes (of veel erger) beschouwd hebben.
@bellaluna2536@Photomusicrock Such cynical, cold commentary has always existed, for example, after disasters. It's partly a way for people to cope with something perceived as threatening and beyond their control. On "social" media you see it amplified, also because it generates the most clicks/views.
@RollingStones@IMAX I remember a fellow musician and early Stones fan talking about how it felt like you were on stage with them. It was quite something for those days (and still is?).
@jimangiesmokie1@SVG__Collection Great, that drummer knew his place and avoided a battle. He came from an era where you had to be acoustically impressive, while rock bands relied heavily on amplification and effects. For such an audience, all you had to do was amplify him to demonstrate the difference in class.
@officialKeef@capitoltheatre Popular music often revolves around a certain image and attitude, but Winwood is an example of someone who has built his career primarily on musicality.
@StuartPenney1 A YT video features a conversation between Mick Taylor and Ronnie Wood, briefly mentioning The Birds and Tony Munroe. Taylor says he first met Wood at a gig by that band.
