@clem_and_joe @sheilagregoire And by the way, some slaves of the 1600's, 1700's and 1800's actually did choose to be slaves. While there were many evil wicked slavers, there were also kind benevolent masters, who even when they freed their slaves, those slaves refused to leave.

Most people have no clue about slavery, and most really don't care about slavery. If they did, they would do something to stop it today.
