Successful Release of 10 Indian Seafarers in MV Harbour Phoenix Case
The Directorate General of Shipping, Government of India, is pleased to announce the successful release of all 10 Indian seafarers associated with MV Harbour Phoenix, who were detained, arrested and imprisoned in Iran following the vessels interception near Jask Port in July 2025.
Through sustained diplomatic engagement and coordinated efforts between the Directorate General of Shipping, Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Ministry of External Affairs, Embassy of India in Tehran, RPSL company, vessel managers, and other stakeholders, the seafarers have now been released and reunited safely.
The Directorate General of Shipping reiterates its unwavering commitment towards the welfare, safety, and protection of Indian seafarers worldwide. Necessary arrangements are being coordinated for the earliest return of the crew members to India.

Govt expands Ebola vigil, all incoming passengers to be screened :
On May 22, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation had issued an order asking airlines offering direct and indirect connectivity to Uganda and Democratic Republic of Congo to distribute self declaration forms to passengers.
While the May 22 order has not been amended, instructions were issued to all international airlines operating in Delhi on Monday to distribute these forms thus expanding the surveillance against the virus.
