This is one of those situations when you lost but still won. I’m grateful for last night. No regrets to get in ring one last time.

I almost died in June. Had 8 blood transfusions. Lost half my blood and 25lbs in hospital and had to fight to get healthy to fight so I won.

To have my children see me stand toe to toe and finish 8 rounds with a talented fighter half my age in front of a packed Dallas Cowboy stadium is an experience that no man has the right to ask for. Thank you 🙏

To those yelling at me on twitter: Nothing makes me more anxious than the prospect of a second Trump term. I have literally had nightmares about it 5 of the last 7 nights. I care. I flew to Michigan to campaign for Biden less than a month ago. I have campaigned and attended fundraisers for several house and senate races as well as for Biden/Harris. I care. I have flown to Kyiv twice in to raise support and awareness for Ukraine. If Biden loses to Trump Ukraine is lost to Putin. I interviewed a woman who nearly died because of Trump’s reversal of Row because of new draconian anti abortion laws. I care. I am on the advisory board of one of the most powerful climate action organizations. I am worried about the erosion of LGBTQIA rights under a second Trump administration. I care. For all of those reasons and many more, I am terribly worried about Biden staying on the ticket. All of the polls are not only showing Biden will lose but that he will drag down the house and senate with him. I happen to have a relatively loud megaphone here and I’m trying very carefully to use it to the best possible impact. I no longer believe Biden is our best shot at beating Trump. There is still time to switch candidates. It will be an uphill battle no matter what and we could very well lose in either scenario, but I believe we have a better shot with another ticket. I’m happy to talk about it civilly, but I am not a terrible person for coming to this conclusion (in spite of what some of you are saying here) I have read a great deal and spoken with congresspeople and senators and those very close to the action and those conversations and reflection have guided me to this conclusion. I’m curious, for those of you who think Biden passing the torch is a bad idea why you think that.
