Why are Liverpool getting criticised for being the only club with the bottle to take a stand against dire officiating, something every fan in this country complains about?
It’s not the time for tribalism. This is about improving the standard of the game in and of itself.
You’ve been hard done by. Just like every other team has and does. Get fucking over it, are they seriously expecting this game to be replayed? Or be given the point? Let it go.
In a way I was right. It was not the game anyone expected, but I think Liverpool played excellently, even with 9 men.
Spurs on the other hand struggled to break us down in spite of their huge advantage.
It took two red cards, a disallowed goal, then an own goal for them to win.
There is a systemic and systematic problem with refereeing in the PL. It needs a complete overhaul from top to bottom.
For a league considered best in the world, it’s hard to believe just how subpar the standard of officiating is.
Alisson Becker:
"I don't like talking about refereeing and we can't even talk about refereeing. It feels like we are prisoners when we open our mouths"
VAR is so dumb. Not the idea, but the execution. Why is the review ‘check complete’ and not ‘goal confirmed’ or ‘goal ruled out’?
So many rudimental issues with how it’s used…
Honestly the entire VAR pipeline needs reviewing, including the liability of human error.
So the VAR, Darren England, checked offside thinking the onfield decision was "goal."
It was a quick offside check because it was clear Diaz was onside, so he told the referee "check complete".
In telling the ref "check complete" he is saying the onfield decision was correct.
