@beardywxm And I have a copy of a later translated Welsh copy from 1880, and a few books in Welsh from that era given to me by a old preachers family from Wrexham because they know I love old books. Also history.

@beardywxm 2/2 Queen Elizabeth I, which required translations of scripture into Welsh to protect the language and promote Protestantism. Historians heavily credit this 1588 publication with saving the Welsh language from dying out over the centuries .

@beardywxm Just to add though The first complete Welsh Bible (Y Beibl Cyssegr-lan) was translated by Bishop William Morgan and printed in 1588. It was commissioned following the 1563 Act of Parliament pushed by 1/2
